Al-Azhar of Egypt Strongly Condemns Netanyahu’s Delusions of a “Greater Israel
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Ma’an, Egypt’s Al-Azhar issued a statement on social media condemning Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s vision of a “Greater Israel” as provocative and delusional. The statement described it as reflecting an entrenched occupier logic driven by greed to dominate regional resources and annex the remaining Palestinian lands.
The statement added that Al-Azhar “firmly condemns the rejected rhetoric of the occupying authorities regarding Greater Israel.” It stressed that these political illusions cannot obscure reality-the brutal crimes committed by the Israeli regime aimed at erasing Palestine from the world map.
Al-Azhar emphasized that “such statements do not grant legitimacy to even one inch of occupied Palestinian land.” It called on Arab and Islamic countries to stand united against this occupiers’ bullying, affirming that falsehood is destined for destruction.
Recently,Netanyahu referred to his visions of “Greater Israel” and expanding Israeli occupation across regional countries including Egypt and jordan.
