New York Times: Europe Fears Repeat of Trump’s Clash with Zelensky
The English section of webangah News Agency, quoting Mehr News agency via Russia Al-Youm, reported that The New York Times identified the European Union’s greatest concern as a repetition of last February’s uncomfortable exchange between US President Donald Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
the Wall Street Journal also reported that the EU expects Trump to pressure Zelensky into accepting Russia’s conditions.
Minutes ago, upon his arrival in Washington to meet with Donald Trump and European leaders, Volodymyr Zelensky called for lasting peace.
On social media just before this crucial meeting, Zelensky wrote: “We are all eager for an immediate and reliable end to this war.”
The ukrainian president is scheduled to meet with Trump alongside several European leaders, including the President of the European Commission. This meeting follows Trump’s recent talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Alaska.
