Sanders: American Taxpayers’ Money Should Not Fund Netanyahu’s War Machine

According to teh⁢ English section of webangah⁤ News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Quds Al-Akhbariya, while most members of the US​ congress remain silent in response‌ to the United Nations report on famine in gaza, Senator‌ Bernie Sanders stated that Donald Trump has the power to end ⁢the starvation of Palestinians but has taken no action, allowing severe hunger in Gaza to‍ persist.

Sanders highlighted America’s extensive financial support to Israel funded by American taxpayers. He emphasized that taxpayer‍ money should not finance‍ Netanyahu’s ‌war machine.

Having previously ​proposed legislation aimed at halting arms sales ‌to Israel, Sanders⁣ has repeatedly warned about the humanitarian crisis unfolding in​ Gaza.

Separately, Marjorie Taylor Greene, Republican representative for Georgia in​ Congress, spoke out saturday on social media about ‌the need for solidarity with ‍Palestinian ‌civilians.She directly‌ linked US military⁤ and financial aid to Israel with the ongoing crisis and stated: “This ⁤aid means every American taxpayer is complicit in Israel’s military actions. I refuse to pay for genocide abroad-and I ⁣will⁣ not remain silent.”

The United Nations has now officially declared famine in Gaza for the first time. According to the International Food Security Portal (IPC), famine is⁤ confirmed in‍ gaza Governorate and is expected ‍by late ‌September to spread into⁣ Deir al-Balah⁣ and khan Yunis governorates within Gaza Strip.
