Intense Israeli Regime Air and Artillery Strikes Damage Homes in Gaza + Video
The Israeli regime continues to attack various areas of Gaza. Its artillery heavily shelled the northern Jabalia al-Nazla region in northern Gaza.
Israeli warplanes also launched intense airstrikes on Jabalia balad and Al-ma’skar in northern Gaza. Additionally, they targeted the outskirts of Hamad residential area northwest of Khan Yunis city in southern Gaza. Khan Yunis itself came under heavy bombardment by Israeli aircraft.
A Palestinian was shot dead by Israeli soldiers near Netzarim in central gaza.
Widespread destruction of Palestinian homes in Jabalia
Field sources in northern Gaza reported hearing massive explosions early Sunday morning across various parts of the enclave, especially within Jabalia refugee camp.
The explosions were caused by explosive-laden robotic devices deployed by the occupying army.
The blasts destroyed numerous homes, leveling them to the ground.
medical supply crisis in Gaza; 80% of essential medicines unavailable
Pharmacists across the Gaza Strip report that over 80 percent of essential medicines have become unavailable at local pharmacies-a direct result of ongoing warfare and Israel’s prolonged siege.
Dhu al-Fiqar Suwayrujo, a Palestinian pharmacist, told Safa News Agency that medical warehouses are virtually empty. Even basic drugs like acetaminophen are nearly depleted. Patients with chronic illnesses such as hypertension, diabetes, autoimmune diseases, thyroid disorders-and those needing antibiotics, painkillers or skin ointments-lack access to necessary medications for treatment.
Suwayrujo stated this dire situation is part of Tel Aviv’s thorough strategy aimed at rendering Gaza uninhabitable and forcing its population into forced displacement.
Meanwhile, pharmacist physician Hussam al-Madhoun emphasized that no pharmaceuticals have entered Gaza since the ceasefire ended in March 2024. Attempts to coordinate with drug companies have failed due to either Israeli restrictions or fears over theft during deliveries.
He warned this amounts to a slow death sentence for patients; thousands suffering from chronic conditions now face serious life risks without treatment options.
This medicine shortage crisis compounds widespread hunger and lack of healthcare services-exposing a new dimension of a humanitarian catastrophe engulfing Gaza.
Médecins Sans Frontières warns unprecedented water crisis in gaza
Médecins Sans Frontières (Doctors Without Borders) issued a recent report warning about an unprecedented water crisis across the Gaza Strip. Since October 2023, over 60 water desalination stations have been out of operation due to damage caused by continuous Israeli bombings.
The report states that Israel deliberately deprives Gazans from access to life essentials including water, food and health services. This has drastically reduced available drinking water far below what is needed for more than 2.4 million residents.
As June 2024 only one out ten requests made by MSF for importing essential equipment has received approval due to Israeli restrictions.
Two out three main pipelines supplying water into Gaza repeatedly faced attacks causing extensive damage; an estimated 70 percent leakage causes loss throughout these networks.
Health consequences are rapidly emerging: According to MSF teams infected gastrointestinal diseases increased sharply all over Gaza with more than a thousand medical consultations weekly last month alone for severe watery diarrhea cases.
Doctors Without Borders cautioned that continued denial of safe water worsens this humanitarian disaster threatening not only thousands ill patients but also overall survival prospects for entire besieged population.
