Tel Aviv: Yemenis Have New Technology Making Missile Tracking More Difficult
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Almasirah and Mehr News Agency, the Associated Press reported that an official in the Israeli Air Force described a missile fired from Yemen toward the occupied territories on Friday as a new threat.
The official added that this Yemeni missile was equipped with a warhead designed for multiple explosions. The use of cluster munitions by Yemen complicates interception efforts.
The Israeli official admitted, “It seems that the Yemenis have acquired new technology.”
Last night, the Israeli newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth reported that the launch of a Palestinian Hypersonic 2 missile by Yemeni forces toward the occupied territories was surprising as they had never before used this type of missile.
The newspaper also stated that three attempts to intercept Yemen’s hypersonic missile failed.
Yedioth Ahronoth further noted it remains unclear whether Israel’s strikes on Yemen will be enough to prevent future launches by Yemeni forces.
