German Chancellor: We Can No Longer Continue!
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Russia Today, The Daily telegraph reported that German Chancellor Friedrich Merz acknowledged during a party meeting speech that Germany can no longer afford it’s social welfare expenses.
He stated, “Financing social welfare in the country under current conditions is no longer feasible. We cannot manage it economically.”
Merz had previously said that addressing Germany’s economic challenges was much harder than he initially expected.
He added, “we are not only facing an economic slowdown but also a structural crisis within Germany’s economy.”
Germany, often regarded as Europe’s industrial powerhouse, suffers from rising energy costs and tensions caused by US-imposed tariffs.
