Macron Holds Key Talks with Qatar’s Emir
According to the English section of webangah news Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Al Jazeera, French President Emmanuel Macron spoke about the brutal attack by the Israeli regime on al-Nasser Hospital in Gaza. While refraining from directly condemning ongoing Israeli actions against Gaza’s oppressed population, he stated that the killing of journalists and civilians in Israeli airstrikes on a hospital is fully unacceptable. He emphasized that media must be able to operate freely.
President Macron added that France is working closely with Qatar to ensure the success of mediators’ efforts preparing for a September conference in New York focused on a two-state solution.
Macron further said that during a phone call with Qatar’s Emir, they discussed Gaza’s devastating situation, support for Lebanon’s sovereignty and Syria’s stability, and also peaceful efforts concerning Iran’s nuclear program.
