75 Percent of Occupied Territories Residents Demand Halt to Gaza War

A recent survey in the occupied territories reveals that the majority of residents want the Gaza⁢ war ‍to end.

A recent survey conducted by the Israeli website Walla, ‍reported by webangah News⁢ Agency from Qatar’s Al Jazeera and Mehr news Agency, ​shows‌ that nearly 74 percent of the israeli public supports ending the war ⁤and reaching an agreement wiht Hamas to secure the return ⁤of Israeli captives.

The survey also indicates that 75​ percent ⁣of active-duty soldiers and reservists in Israel’s⁢ military back a prisoner‍ exchange that would bring israelis ⁢home in return for ⁢ending hostilities.

Furthermore, about 55 ⁤percent of supporters from Likud, Israel’s ruling party, favor stopping the fighting through a deal aimed at releasing captives.

Additionally, 64 percent ​of Israelis believe the ongoing conflict is driven by internal political motives within ‍Israel’s government.

Meanwhile, 40 percent of soldiers and reservists reported ​losing their motivation to continue fighting.

This broad public support for a ceasefire comes despite Prime Minister Netanyahu and his hardline cabinet obstructing any ceasefire agreements or efforts to halt the war.
