U.S. Sanctions Three Palestinian Organizations in Gaza
The English section of webangah News Agency,citing Mehr News Agency and Cairo 24,reported that the U.S. Treasury Department has sanctioned three Palestinian human rights organizations operating in Gaza.
According to the report, the Palestinian Human Rights Center and Al-Mezan Human Rights Center, both based in Gaza, have been targeted by U.S. sanctions.
Last Thursday, the U.S. State Department imposed sanctions on the Palestinian Authority and the Palestine Liberation Institution citing violations of international resolutions and alleged support for “terrorism.”
The United States has enforced these sanctions against Palestinian institutions and officials while Israel has waged a ruthless and unprecedented war against Palestinians-especially in Gaza-since October 7, 2023.
