Khatibzadeh: Zionists Failed to Achieve Their Aims in Attack on Iran

The Deputy Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran stated that the Zionists have ⁣failed to achieve their objectives in attacking Iran and accused ‌the⁢ Zionist media lobby⁢ of trying to distort facts.

saeed Khatibzadeh, ‌Deputy ‌Foreign Minister and Head of the Political and International Studies Center at⁣ the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, said in an interview with Al-Sharq TV in Iraq that Tehran-Baghdad relations are at their best ‌across all ⁢levels.

Describing his recent visit to Iraq, he noted that he held several meetings with Iraqi officials, exchanging views on‍ various issues. Consultations between the two countries on regional matters continue, important agreements ⁤were signed during Dr. Masoud‌ Pezeshkian’s ‌trip to Iraq, and negotiations ⁣took place concerning energy cooperation.

Addressing recent regional developments‌ and Israel’s aggression against Iranian territory, Khatibzadeh emphasized that Tel Aviv has violated international law and diplomatic ‍norms for over two years.

He⁣ characterized the‌ assassinations of Iranian commanders, scientists, and civilians as crimes rooted in a terrorist approach by this regime. Although Iran responded robustly after thes ⁢violations‍ of its sovereignty, ‍Israel attempts through its ⁤massive media lobby to distort reality by spreading ‌falsehoods.

Khatibzadeh highlighted that despite security challenges following the targeted killings during recent conflicts, Iran‌ managed to‍ regain control within hours. Actually, Tehran ‌was able ⁣to target any location within the occupied ‌territories during the initial days of fighting.

Concluding his remarks, he stressed that ‍Israel has not ‍achieved its goals in its war against Iran.

The deputy foreign minister added that Tehran concurrently strives to prevent escalation into a broader regional conflict.

he also stated that this war⁤ has altered realities in the⁣ region-notably regarding the nuclear dossier-and⁢ pointed out that the International Atomic energy Agency has proven unable to provide adequate ⁤protection for Iran’s nuclear facilities.
