Hindustan Times: Tensions Between US and India Escalate
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Russia Today, the Hindustan Times reported that Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi will not attend the United Nations General Assembly in New York due to rising tensions in relations with the United States.
The report states that this decision came after the U.S.imposed tariffs on India over its purchase of Russian oil.
Currently, it is expected that India’s foreign minister will represent the country at the General Assembly. India’s Ministry of Foreign affairs has not yet confirmed or denied this report.
