Xi Jinping Urges BRICS Nations to Deepen Trade Cooperation

According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Sputnik via ⁢Mehr News ⁤Agency, Chinese President Xi Jinping stated today, Monday, during an extraordinary BRICS virtual ⁣meeting that some‌ countries continuously provoke⁣ trade‌ wars and impose tariffs, ⁤causing devastating blows to the ‍global ‌economy.

President Xi emphasized‍ that BRICS members must capitalize on their strengths and enhance trade cooperation.

He added that despite global turmoil,⁣ BRICS has withstood the challenges and will continue pursuing enduring long-term advancement.

Simultaneously occurring, China’s Foreign Minister ⁣Wang Yi announced on Sunday that President Xi‌ Jinping would participate in Monday’s virtual BRICS‌ summit.
