Morocco’s Samood Fleet Departs for Gaza Today
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency via Al-Nashra, the Moroccan Samoud Fleet held a press conference stating that 23 ships belonging to the fleet will depart on Saturday for the port of Bizerte in northern Morocco before heading to the Gaza Strip. The fleet hopes to break the blockade despite reports of Israeli obstruction along their route.
The announcement was made during a press conference where Ghassan Al-Hanshari and Nabil Al-Shanoufi, board members of Morocco’s Samoud Fleet, spoke at the port of Sidi Bou Said in northern tunisia.
Al-Hanshari said: “We have 23 vessels ready to depart and have received support from authorities regarding ship entry from Spain into Tunisia.”
Al-Shanoufi added that all 23 Moroccan ships will leave from tunisian ports Sidi Bou Said and Kram. European vessels are expected to join gradually at Bizerte port in upcoming days.
