Saudi Arabia Moves to Implement Zionist Plot in Lebanon
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency, the Lebanese newspaper Al-Akhbar reported that Saudi Arabia has not only continued its persistent incitement against Hezbollah and calls for its disarmament in recent months but is also seeking to remove Hezbollah’s parliamentary depiction and strip Nabih Berri of his position as Speaker of Parliament.
The report highlighted that saudi diplomacy, a full partner with the United States and the Zionist regime in pursuing Hezbollah’s disarmament, changed the leadership responsible for Lebanon-related affairs in Riyadh not merely to appoint a figure trusted by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. It emphasized that yasir bin Farhan holds a personal hostile stance towards Hezbollah and maintains close ties with US officials involved in Lebanese affairs.
An Arab diplomat responding to questions about direct contacts between Yasir bin Farhan and Zionists said communication occurs through multiple channels at various levels. tel Aviv heavily relies on Riyadh’s role in strengthening the power of its Lebanese allies who oppose Hezbollah.
Riyadh aims to implement a plan by early next spring designed to prepare Lebanon’s Sunni political scene for a meaningful confrontation with Hezbollah through upcoming parliamentary elections. This includes support not only for the Lebanese Forces party but also other figures opposing Hezbollah.
Reports indicate that saudi Arabia has allocated substantial funding for this effort but intends to distribute it systematically so that no one receives support without delivering clear and tangible results.
Although Riyadh remains dissatisfied with Lebanese Prime Minister Nawaf salam, it accepts him as an executor of its plans at this stage. Saudi Arabia has pressured Sunni leaders-whom salam had neither engaged nor represented within his cabinet-to align behind him and interact with him as their sole political representative within the government.
Saudi daring on this issue has escalated recklessly, as Riyadh seeks to incite Lebanese factions into confronting Hezbollah across all arenas-including streets protests-intensifying tensions nationwide.
