Dozens of French ISIS Members Transferred from Syria to Iraq
The Iraqi intelligence service has confirmed the transfer of 47 French ISIS militants from Syria to Iraq for trial, according to the English section of webangah news Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and WAAR.
These individuals were moved from northeastern Syria to Iraq.They are accused of participating in terrorist operations carried out in iraq between 2014 and 2017.
Some have also been involved in hostile activities targeting iraq’s national security abroad. The Iraqi intelligence service stated that arrest warrants for these militants had been issued by the country’s judicial system.
Currently, hundreds of ISIS members and their families remain housed at the al-Hol camp in Syria, a facility whose closure is being obstructed by the United States.
