Latest Dangerous and Apartheid Act by the Zionist Regime in West Jerusalem
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Quds Press, Haroun Nasseruddin, a member of Hamas’s political office and head of its Jerusalem Affairs Bureau, described the recent Israeli measure to distribute new ID cards to residents of Al-Jib villages (Al-Khalayleh neighborhood), Beit Iksa, and Nabi Samuel west of Jerusalem as part of a broader settler plan.This plan aims to divide and fragment the city’s fabric ultimately asserting full control over it.
Under this policy, residents will be allowed entry only for specified locations and purposes within the occupied territories. Nasseruddin stated this reflects israel’s view that thes areas are “Israeli lands,” effectively signaling their practical annexation.
He called this decision a dangerous step toward cementing apartheid policies and enforcing forced displacement against Palestinians.
Nasseruddin emphasized that this action continues a series of repressive measures in occupied Jerusalem, including repeated raids on Al-Aqsa Mosque, demolition of homes, arrests of young people, and harsh restrictions on residents’ movement. The ultimate goal is to empty the city from its original inhabitants and replace them with a new colonial reality.
The Hamas leader warned: “Our nation will not retreat. The occupiers bear full responsibility for all consequences resulting from these actions. All free peoples around the world must take immediate action to stop these annexation crimes and forced displacement while defending our people’s rights against such dangerous moves.”
