King of Jordan: The Time for Peace Has Arrived

King of Jordan Emphasizes Urgent Need for Concrete ‌Action Against⁣ Israeli Crimes at 80th UN General Assembly, Declares: The‌ Time for Peace Has Come.

According ‌to the english section of webangah News Agency, citing Al Jazeera, King Abdullah II of Jordan⁢ addressed the 80th⁢ United Nations general Assembly, stating that⁤ words fail to⁣ capture ‌the scale of the⁣ crisis‍ in gaza.He warned that silence ⁤equals⁤ acceptance of⁢ the current situation.

King‌ Abdullah II described Palestinians as enduring harsh conditions adn being deprived of their rights. He stressed the need‍ for‌ a comprehensive solution to⁤ the palestinian-Israeli conflict-the longest-standing dispute ⁤in the world-rooted ⁣in illegal occupation.

The king noted that mere statements ‍condemning Israeli crimes are insufficient. “Continuous condemnations without tangible action are inadequate,” he said, adding that decades-long ⁤efforts have failed ‌to bring progress.

He emphasized that Jerusalem’s holy sites face destruction and‌ desecration. Provocative ⁤demands from⁣ Israel’s government regarding ⁢Greater Israel ⁤are unacceptable. Israel is dismantling the foundations of ⁢peace and burying any hope for⁤ a Palestinian state.

King Abdullah II also accused Israel of disregarding ⁢other nations’ sovereignty by violating ⁢many countries’ territorial integrity across the ‌region. He ⁤questioned when Palestinians will be recognized as a nation, calling recognition⁢ not a reward but an undeniable right. Despite darkness, there remains a glimmer of hope as⁢ many countries back ⁢an immediate ceasefire in ‌Gaza.

The king asserted that ⁢power alone does not bring security; instead, it leads to more violence. True security will only emerge ‌when Palestine and Israel coexist peacefully. Arab‌ nations have taken initiative ‍toward peace through the Arab Peace Initiative plan. “The time has come to achieve peace,” he declared, affirming Jordan’s cooperation and willingness in facilitating ceasefire⁤ negotiations without ever obstructing progress or showing rigidity.

Recalling attempts ⁢to secure a ceasefire in gaza hampered by Prime Minister Netanyahu’s ⁢resistance, King Abdullah urged positive intervention from ‌the⁢ U.S., calling on Washington to compel Israel to halt what he described as genocide by its occupying forces.
