Venezuela Expresses Solidarity with Iran at United Nations Podium
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Al Jazeera, Iván Eduardo Gil Pinto, Venezuela’s Foreign Minister and representative at the United Nations, responded to U.S. warlike positions by stating that America violates international law by waging war against Venezuela and its sovereignty.
He added that Venezuela has every right to defend itself and maintain security in the Caribbean and South America.
The Venezuelan foreign minister emphasized: ”We reaffirm our commitment to building a world free from dominance or control by specific countries, where only law prevails.”
Referring to developments in Palestine, he stressed: “We honor the struggle of the Palestinian people and demand an end to Israeli occupation.”
Gil Pinto also recalled Israel’s attacks on Iran during the 12-day imposed war, stating: “We renew our solidarity with Iran and condemn any aggression against it.”
The Venezuelan official criticized U.S. efforts to seize control over the United Nations, saying that today’s form of Nazism seeks to undermine the UN while Venezuela strives for its support and advancement.
