Argentine President Rejects Netanyahu’s Overtures
Israeli news sources report that the President of Argentina has opposed Netanyahu’s visit to the country.
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Al Mayadeen network, Hebrew media including Yedioth Ahronoth from the occupied territories reported that Benjamin Netanyahu planned a trip to Argentina but faced opposition from Argentine President Alberto Fernández.
The report states that Fernández, known as a strong supporter of Israel, is concerned that Netanyahu’s presence in Buenos Aires could negatively impact his standing ahead of upcoming elections.
