Iraqi Officials Issue Condolences Following Death of Ayatollah Sistani’s Wife
According to the English section of webangah News Agency,citing Mehr News Agency and Baratha,Iraqi President Abdul latif jamal Rashid extended his condolences on the death of Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Sistani’s wife,the supreme Shia authority in Iraq.
Other notable officials who expressed their sympathies thru separate statements included Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al Sudani, Supreme Judicial Council Chairman Faiq Zaidan, head of the State of Law Coalition Nouri al-Maliki, First Deputy Speaker Mohsen al-Mandalawi, and Chairman of the Islamic Supreme Council of Iraq Humam Hamoudi.
It is worth noting that last night Ayatollah sistani’s office announced in a statement: “Lady Alawiyah Bozorgvar, daughter of Ayatollah Seyyed Mirza Hassan and granddaughter of Ayatollah Seyyed Mohammad Hassan shirazi (Majaddid Shirazi), may God sanctify their souls, passed away in Najaf.”
