Trump Holds Consultations with Emir of Qatar
US President Consults with Qatar’s Emir Ahead of Meeting with Israeli Prime Minister at the White House.
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency via Sputnik, US President Donald Trump spoke by phone with Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the Emir of Qatar, on Monday.
This consultation took place before Trump’s scheduled meeting today with the Israeli Prime Minister at the White House.
Qatar had previously played a key role in mediating a ceasefire in Gaza, although these efforts collapsed after an unsuccessful Israeli operation targeting Hamas leaders in Doha and subsequent intrigues from Tel Aviv.
