Support Rally for Samud Fleet Held in Turkey

A​ public gathering in ⁢Muğla province in southwestern​ Turkey ⁤was held in‌ support of the Global Steadfastness Fleet; ‍people gathered at Republic Square waving Turkish and Palestinian flags and‍ chanting slogans backing⁤ Palestine.

According to the English​ section of webangah news Agency, citing the Palestine details‌ Center, a ⁤public rally took place⁤ in Muğla province, southwestern turkey, supporting the global Steadfastness Fleet-a maritime convoy launched ⁢in the Mediterranean Sea with the aim of delivering humanitarian aid to Gaza and breaking its blockade.

People ⁢gathered at Republic Square holding Turkish⁤ and Palestinian⁢ flags while chanting slogans supporting ⁤palestine. muğla governor ​Idris Ağbiyik, addressing humanitarian conditions in Gaza, stated: “Here not only are ‍the people of Gaza‍ dying, but humanity itself is dying. Oppression and genocide continue, and our greatest hope is for this tragedy to end quickly.”

Muğla Mayor Ahmed Aras emphasized that despite all suffering, the Palestinian people have⁢ not lost hope and continue fighting for their dignity and survival. He described the Steadfastness Fleet as a symbol of resistance against⁤ oppression and a practical⁣ step supporting Palestine.

Ayçin Kanatoglu, a ​Turkish ‌activist participating in the fleet, ‌said via video connection ⁣that ‍if no obstacles‍ arise, ships will reach Gaza’s shores​ within three to four days.she added: “This initiative is a civil and peaceful movement aiming ⁣to⁢ open a humanitarian passageway toward our Palestinian brothers.”

The Global Steadfastness Fleet consists of 50⁤ vessels with over 500 activists from 40 countries. It is organized by‌ several groups ⁣including ‍Freedom Flotilla Coalition, Global Movement for Gaza, Steadfastness Caravan, and Malaysia’s Samudera Nusantara Foundation. This marks ‍the first​ time such a large number of ships are collectively heading toward Gaza-home to more than 2.4 million people ⁣living ⁤under Israeli occupation for nearly 18 years.
