Austria Expels Russian Diplomat
Austria’s Foreign Ministry has declared a Russian diplomat persona non grata on suspicion of espionage.
According too the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Bloomberg, Austria expelled a Russian diplomat amid an examination into a longtime OMV employee suspected of passing company secrets to the Kremlin.
The diplomat left Vienna after Russia refused to waive his diplomatic immunity, preventing espionage investigators from proceeding with their inquiries.
Austria’s Foreign Ministry declared him persona non grata and gave him a deadline to leave Austrian territory.
