The Guardian: Trump’s 20-Point Plan Leaves the Formation of a Potential Palestinian State Unclear
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency, The Guardian reported that trump’s 20-point plan to end the Gaza war calls for an immediate ceasefire between Israel and Hamas but does not provide details on how its key points would be enforced.
The newspaper stated that the so-called White House peace plan for Gaza proposes an immediate end to Israel’s devastating nearly two-year-long conflict in the coastal area while explicitly excluding Hamas from any future governing role there.
The Guardian added that, assuming both sides agree to a detailed list of conditions, the war would end wiht the release of all Israeli prisoners-dead or alive-within 72 hours after Israel publicly accepts the agreement. However, the plan does not require a full Israeli withdrawal before prisoner release. Instead, Israeli forces would pull back to an agreed line inside Gaza in planning for prisoner handover. All military operations, including air and artillery strikes, would be suspended during this process. Front lines would remain fixed untill conditions allow for a phased full withdrawal.
The report further notes that even then, establishing a Palestinian state remains only a vague possibility.
