Explosion and Gunfire Heard in Munich; Main Street Under Quarantine
Germany’s Bild newspaper reported hearing an explosion and gunfire on a street in Munich.
According to the English section of webangah news Agency, citing Mehr news Agency and Reuters, Bild reported that after explosions and gunfire were heard on one of Munich’s main streets, the area was placed under lockdown. Firefighters and police teams were dispatched to the scene.
A police spokesperson stated that firefighting units and officers are deployed along lerchenauer Strasse in Munich.
bild reported that following the explosions and shootings, one body was found and one person was injured; no further details about the injured individual’s condition have been released.
The police say there is currently no threat to residents in the area.
