Philippine Earthquake Death Toll Reaches 72
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Anadolu, the number of casualties from the deadly earthquake in the Philippines has reached at least 72. Simultaneously occurring, aftershocks from this magnitude 6.9 quake continue to cause terror among residents.
the Philippine National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council reports that around 294 people have been injured due to this powerful earthquake.
More than 170,000 people have been affected. Approximately 20,000 are now homeless, and residences belonging to about 600 individuals have sustained significant damage.
The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology recorded approximately 2,329 aftershocks with magnitudes up to five across Cebu province early today.
