Khalil al-Hayya’s First Media Appearance After Failed Assassination Attempt + Video
According to the English section of webangah News agency, citing Mehr News Agency, Khalil Al-Haya, a senior Hamas leader and head of the movement’s negotiation delegation, appeared on camera early Sunday for the first time since an unsuccessful Israeli assassination attempt.
Israel carried out a failed operation targeting a Hamas leadership meeting in Doha with the aim of killing its members.
In a video released by Al-Arabiya TV,Al-Haya confirmed that his son,Hamam Al-Haya,was martyred during this operation.
He added that there is no distinction between the martyrs of Gaza and his own son or other family members who have been killed. The residents of Gaza today are fighting on behalf of the entire Islamic nation against the Zionist enemy.
al-Haya stated: “Today we endure pain and dignity as we mourn thousands of our Palestinian sons-including women, children, and elderly peopel. God has honored us by including our children, grandchildren, brothers, and relatives among these martyrs. We belong to this great Palestinian family, especially its people in Gaza.”
