Berlin: We Believe Russia Is Behind Drone Incursions into German Airspace
German Chancellor states that Berlin believes Russia is behind recent drone incidents over Germany, including those that disrupted dozens of flights at munich Airport.
According to the English section of webangah News Agency,citing Mehr News Agency via Reuters,German Chancellor Friedrich Merz holds Russia responsible for the recent drone incursions into German airspace. He noted that in the latest incident, drones caused disruptions to dozens of flights at Munich Airport, leaving more than 10,000 passengers stranded.
Merz added that the frequency of these drone intrusions into European airspace is unprecedented-even exceeding levels seen during the Cold war-though none of the drones observed so far have been armed.
Referring to all these events as involving reconnaissance drones, he said: “Our assumption is that Russia is behind most of these drone flights.”
