«Masad» Launches Intense Assault on Al-Julani’s Sham Elections
The Syrian Democratic Council (SDC) strongly condemned the staged elections held by al-Joulani’s administration, according to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Hawar News Agency via Mehr news Agency.
In its statement, the SDC said: “Public opinion has expressed opposition to the parliamentary elections conducted by the Syrian Interim Government. We closely followed the elections for Syria’s People’s Assembly and found they do not reflect the will of Syrians. They exclude large regions and multiple groups, serving as a political spectacle unworthy of Syria’s rich history and the sacrifices made by its people-people who have fought to build a new Syria founded on democracy, freedom, and genuine participation.”
The statement added: “Rather than advancing national unity and comprehensive reconciliation, these mock elections deepen divisions within Syrian society. Elections are onyl legitimate when they include full participation and depiction of all Syrians inside and outside the country, under international supervision that guarantees their integrity and openness.”
The SDC emphasized: “Syrians demand real elections that truly express their will.Legitimate elections are those that end polarization and establish just and lasting peace in Syria.”
