Military Tensions Escalate Between Julani Regime and SDF Forces
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency via Al Mayadeen, local sources in Syria state that public security forces affiliated with the Jolani regime have closed all entrances to Sheikh Maqsood and Ashrafieh neighborhoods in Aleppo, which are controlled by the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF).
The sources add that public security informed residents of Sheikh Maqsood and Ashrafieh that anyone leaving these neighborhoods would not be allowed to return.
This escalation on the ground between the Jolani regime and SDF comes amid rising political disputes. The Syrian Democratic Council (SDC) sharply condemned Jolani’s staged elections.
The SDC statement emphasized that instead of moving toward national unity and comprehensive reconciliation, these staged elections deepen divisions within syrian society.
