Prisoner Affairs Director: Tel Aviv Sought to Evade Its Commitments
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Al Jazeera, Nahed Fakhouri, director of information for Palestinian prisoners’ affairs, announced that the occupying regime attempted to avoid its obligations. However, the resistance firmly demanded confirmation of all prisoner names.
She described the release of Palestinian prisoners and the cessation of hostilities in Gaza as a national and historic day for the Palestinian people. Fakhouri added that several Palestinians detained by the occupiers for decades will be freed under a prisoner exchange agreement.
the information director specified that 154 released Palestinian prisoners will be exiled by the occupying regime at this stage.
She emphasized that the occupiers try to shirk their commitments in every agreement. Even during this process, they attempted to affect outcomes by removing or altering hundreds of names on the list. Nonetheless, Palestinian resistance fully insisted on confirming all agreed-upon names.
Fakhouri noted that the resistance’s negotiation team updated and revised prisoner lists-especially concerning detainees from Gaza-to ensure their release.
She concluded by stating this agreement reflects the steadfastness of both nation and resistance. It delivers a clear message: “The will for freedom and dignity will prevail over weapons power and occupation.”
