Afghanistan Declares Ceasefire with Pakistan Starting at 5:30 PM
the spokesperson for Afghanistan’s interim government announced that, at Pakistan’s request and insistence, a ceasefire between the two countries will take effect at 5:30 p.m. today.
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency, Tolo News reported on its X account that afghanistan has agreed to establish a ceasefire with Pakistan.
Tolo News wrote on X: Zabihullah Mujahid, spokesperson for Afghanistan’s interim government, announced that at Pakistan’s request and insistence, a ceasefire between the two countries will begin today at 5:30 p.m. local time.
The spokesperson added that Afghanistan has instructed its forces to adhere to the ceasefire on the condition that no violations occur from the opposing side.
al Jazeera also cited Afghanistan’s interim government stating: “At the Pakistani side’s request and insistence, we announce a ceasefire today at 5:30 p.m. Kabul time.”
