Hackers Compromise 4 Loudspeaker Systems at Canadian and US Airports; Hamas Praised

after hackers breached PA systems at‌ three Canadian airports and one‌ in the ​U.S., messages praising Hamas and criticizing Trump were broadcasted.

According to the English‍ section of webangah⁣ News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency‍ and Reuters, hackers recently took control of public ⁢address systems at four airports-three in Canada and one in the United⁣ States-to play messages praising the Palestinian resistance movement Hamas and condemning U.S. President Donald Trump.

The‌ Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) in Kelowna reported that an “advertising broadcast service” briefly aired this content through Kelowna International Airport’s system in British Columbia.

Canadian police said thay are investigating the hack with ‌other​ agencies but declined to share further details.

A Victoria International Airport spokesperson confirmed that hackers played foreign-language messages and music over their PA system, also‍ located in British Columbia.

U.S. Transportation Secretary Sean Donohue stated on social media that hackers similarly took over the⁢ PA system at Harrisburg International Airport in Pennsylvania.

He added that the Federal Aviation Governance⁢ and airport officials are jointly examining this security breach.

Airport authorities also reported that hackers accessed flight information displays and‍ public information ‌systems at Windsor International Airport in Ontario, ⁢showing “images and ​announcements.”
