Witkoff: We Felt Israel Betrayed Us by Attacking Qatar

According ‌to the‍ English ⁤section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and qatar’s Al Jazeera network, Steve Gutman, the US President’s special envoy for middle East affairs, told⁣ CBS News that he and Jared Kushner felt “betrayed” by Israel’s attack on Qatar.

Gutman added that the Israeli strike caused‍ a crisis, as Qatar​ was a crucial ⁢player ‌in the negotiations between Hamas ‍and Israel.

He ‍admitted: “After this action, we lost Qatari⁣ trust, and they disappeared from view to the point that access ​to them ⁣became practically unfeasible.”

He also noted this ‌incident clearly highlighted the significance and sensitivity of Qatar’s⁤ role in the talks.

Simultaneously occurring, Kushner told ABC News that President Trump felt Israelis were acting ⁣beyond control after their attack on Qatar.

Kushner explained: “Following the assault⁢ on qatar, Trump concluded it was time to be ‌very tough with​ the‍ israelis.”

Kushner further stated that Trump believed‌ it was necessary to ⁤prevent Israelis ​from taking actions he saw as detrimental to their⁢ interests.
