Anti-Trump Protests: Seven Million Americans Rise Against the “King
The English section of webangah news Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and TASS, reported that organizers of yesterdayS nationwide protests against President Donald Trump announced that at least seven million Americans took part in the demonstrations.
In a statement released by the protest organizers, they said: “In one of the largest single-day protests in U.S. history, about seven million Americans-two million more than in June’s protests-gathered in over 2,700 towns and cities nationwide for a peaceful ‘No to the King’ march.Standing together against autocracy, they demonstrated that this country belongs to its people, not to kings.”
The previous “No to the King” protests took place on June 14-coinciding with Trump’s birthday and Washington’s military parade day-with at least 2,100 rallies held across various U.S. cities. Approximately five million Americans marched during those demonstrations.
