UNICEF Spokesperson: Situation in Gaza Is Extremely Dire
According to the English section of webangah News agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Russia Al-Youm, Ricardo pras, spokesperson for the United Nations ChildrenS Fund (UNICEF), has warned of a deteriorating humanitarian situation in the Gaza strip. He emphasized that conditions are dire and that children are suffering the most from the shortage of humanitarian aid.
He added that Gaza faces an almost complete lack of vital, life-saving supplies.Many children urgently require full treatment for severe malnutrition to survive.
The UNICEF spokesperson noted that numerous medical devices, including neonatal incubators and intensive care equipment, have been denied entry into gaza. This has worsened the health crisis and endangered the lives of infants and patients.
UNICEF called for unconditional and full access to humanitarian aid in Gaza, warning that ongoing restrictions could cause a notable rise in child mortality rates.
