Trump to Meet Sheikh Tamim Aboard Plane Soon
Reports indicate a meeting between the U.S. President and the Emir of Qatar during the stopover of his plane in Doha en route to East Asia.
A White House official has announced an upcoming meeting between U.S. President Donald Trump and Qatar’s emir Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani in Doha, according to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Reuters through Mehr News Agency.
The official stated on Saturday that the meeting will take place onboard the presidential plane during a refueling stop in Qatar as Trump travels to Malaysia.
The official also noted that U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo will accompany Trump in Doha.
Trump is scheduled for a five-day trip to Malaysia, Japan, and South Korea-the first visit by him to this region and his longest foreign trip as taking office in January 2025.
