U.S. Official: Hamas Has Not Violated Ceasefire
According to the English service of webangah News Agency, citing mehr News Agency and Al Jazeera, Axios reported that a U.S. official notified Israeli authorities Washington believes Hamas has not breached the ceasefire in a manner requiring retaliation.
axios added that the American official urged Israel to avoid extreme actions that could lead to the collapse of the ceasefire agreement.
A U.S. official also told Al Jazeera in an interview, “The ceasefire remains intact in Gaza, and we are still working toward implementing President TrumpS peace plan. The peace plan faces challenges in Gaza, and the U.S. government is making notable efforts to advance it.”
The official did not address Washington’s support for Israeli actions in Gaza but noted,”Transitioning to lasting peace after two years of conflict is difficult.”
He further acknowledged that locating the bodies of captured Israelis in Gaza is a difficult, challenging, and time-consuming task.
