EU Calls on All Parties to Respect Gaza Ceasefire

Anouar El Anouni, spokesperson for the European Commission, said today that “we once again call on all parties to continue respecting the ceasefire,” without condemning the ongoing crimes committed by Zionist occupiers against Gaza’s suffering population. This statement was reported by Mehr News Agency via Israel’s Times of Israel and published by webangah News Agency.
Without explicitly naming Israel as violating the Gaza ceasefire, El anouni added: “We urge all sides to fully commit to implementing every stage of the plan to end hostilities in Gaza and refrain from any actions that could jeopardize this agreement.”
He further stated: “There is no military solution to this conflict.”
Simultaneously occurring, Teresa Ribera, Vice-President of the European Commission and a self-described critic of Zionist occupiers, posted on social media saying: “We need an prospect for peace-not an excuse for renewed attacks.”
This comes as Israel has resumed its attacks against Gaza’s oppressed people despite breaching the ceasefire.
