Economic Times: India Secures Extension of Chabahar Port Sanctions Exemption
An Indian media outlet claimed that the country has secured a US sanction waiver extension for Chabahar Port.
The English section of webangah News agency, citing Mehr News Agency, reported that the Economic Times stated the Indian government has succeeded in extending the US sanctions exemption for operations at Iran’s Chabahar Port until early 2026.
According to the report, this port plays a strategic role in India’s regional connectivity plans. It maintains a vital route to Afghanistan,Central Asia,and eastern Russia and enables continued economic and humanitarian cooperation.
