Madbouly Urges Israel to Withdraw from Occupied Positions in Southern Lebanon

According to the English section of webangah news agency, citing Cairo alakhbariya and Mehr News agency, Egypt’s Prime Minister Mustafa Madbouly stated he will travel to Beirut next month for consultations aimed at enhancing bilateral ties.
Speaking at a joint press conference with Lebanese Prime Minister Nawaf Salam, Madbouly highlighted that trade volume between Egypt and Lebanon reaches one billion dollars. He also referred to directives from the Egyptian presidency to provide various forms of support to Lebanon in the upcoming period.
Madbouly condemned Israeli incursions into southern Lebanon and expressed support for the Lebanese government’s efforts to maintain the country’s stability.
The Egyptian prime minister further emphasized his country’s readiness to assist Lebanon in its reconstruction process. He called on israel to withdraw from occupied positions in southern Lebanon.
Madbouly noted Lebanon’s appreciation for Egypt’s role in achieving ceasefires and rebuilding Gaza, adding that Egyptian companies are ready to participate in rebuilding southern Lebanon as well.
meanwhile, Lebanese Prime Minister Nawaf Salam described Egypt-Lebanon relations as reflective of the depth of Arab solidarity.
He said he discussed cooperation with his Egyptian counterpart on energy, water, and sustainable development sectors.
Salam commended Egypt’s efforts toward regional stability and noted Cairo’s commitment to pursuing peaceful solutions for conflicts.
The Lebanese prime minister also praised Egypt’s steadfast support for the Palestinian cause and its backing of Lebanon on all matters related thereto.
He concluded by affirming that cooperation between Egypt and Lebanon demonstrates deep mutual trust between the two countries.
