Trump Threatens New York Residents
US President threatens to cut financial support and federal funding allocated to New York city residents.
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Russia Today, US President Donald Trump has threatened to limit federal funding designated for New York City if the Democratic Muslim candidate, Zehran Mamdani, wins the mayoral election.
He added that in case of Mamdani’s victory, New York would likely receive the lowest level of federal financial support.
Previously, Trump urged New yorkers to vote in favor of Andrew Cuomo.
Trump claimed that a Mamdani win would result in a complete economic and social disaster for New York City.
It is noteworthy that early voting for the New York mayoral race closed yesterday amid reports suggesting Zehran Mamdani leading the polls.
