Beijing Reports Wang Yi and Araghchi Consultations on Iran’s Nuclear Program
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Al Jazeera, China’s Foreign Ministry issued a statement today, Wednesday, announcing that China’s Foreign Minister Wang Yi discussed Tehran’s nuclear program with his Iranian counterpart Seyed Abbas Araghchi.
During the phone consultation, Wang Yi told Araghchi that China supports Iran’s right to peaceful nuclear energy and hopes all involved parties maintain dialog on this issue.
Seyed Abbas Araghchi previously spoke by phone with Wang Yi about the latest status of bilateral relations as well as regional and international developments.
Araghchi criticized the continuing provocative actions of the Zionist regime in West Asia. He emphasized that the international community must resist this regime’s warmongering and hegemonic policies to prevent further escalation of tensions in the region.
