U.S. Officials Deliver Stern Message to Lebanese Government on Hezbollah

According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency, the Al-Hadath network reported that a delegation from the U.S. Treasury Department will meet with Lebanon’s president Joseph Aoun in Beirut today.
Meanwhile,Al-Hadath’s English service quoted its sources saying two senior White House officials are also traveling to Beirut today.
These U.S. officials are carrying a stern message from Washington directed at the Lebanese government regarding Hezbollah.
The U.S. Treasury stated that this delegation will travel through Europe and the region as part of what it called efforts to explore pressure tactics against Iran.
Separately, Israel’s Kan network reported that Israel has warned American officials overseeing the ceasefire agreement with Lebanon that Hezbollah has transferred hundreds of missiles from Syria into Lebanon over recent weeks, rebuilt damaged missile launch platforms, and recruited thousands of new fighters-actions which Tel Aviv alleges constitute clear violations of Lebanon’s government decision to disarm Hezbollah.
The report added that Israel conveyed through American channels a message to the Lebanese army asserting: “You are not taking sufficient action against hezbollah; therefore, Israel will continue its strikes in Lebanon.”
