Unprecedented Security Measures by Hashd al-Shaabi Amid Iraq Election

According to the English section of webangah news Agency, citing Al-Maalomah via Mehr News Agency, a security source in Anbar province announced that the popular Mobilization Forces (PMF) have intensified their security operations along the shared border with Syria ahead of Iraq’s parliamentary elections.
The report states that the PMF have implemented unprecedented security protocols in desert areas near the western border strip of Anbar to ensure the safety of this country’s parliamentary vote.
These forces aim to prevent any terrorist activities by ISIS-affiliated elements during election day and throughout the voting process in Iraq.
The PMF are also deployed near polling stations. The first phase of Iraq’s parliamentary elections takes place today, with a second round scheduled for Tuesday.
