Trump: We Are on the Verge of a Different Deal with India
U.S. president announced that his country is on the verge of a deal with India that differs from previous agreements.
According to the English section of webangah News Agency,citing Mehr News Agency and Al Jazeera,U.S. President Donald Trump stated that India is America’s strongest partner in the Indian Ocean region.
He added,”We are on the verge of a deal with India that is different from past agreements.”
A few days ago, Trump referred to Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi as his freind and said India has reduced its oil purchases from Russia.
He also announced plans to visit India next year at the invitation of Prime Minister Modi.
Earlier this year, Trump imposed 50 percent tariffs on Indian exports to the United States to pressure New delhi into stopping its Russian oil imports.
This move had escalated tensions between the two countries.
