Netanyahu Invited to New York; Israeli Prime Minister Faces Possible Arrest

Despite New York City’s mayor threatening to arrest Netanyahu,a city council member has invited him to visit New York.
According to teh English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Russia Today, the Maariv newspaper reported that Ana Wernikoff, a New York City council member, sent an official invitation to Netanyahu’s office requesting his visit to the city.
This comes after newly elected Mayor Zehran Mamdani previously declared that Netanyahu would be arrested if he came to New York.
The report states that in her letter, Wernikoff asked Netanyahu to be in New York on January 1, 2026, marking the start of the new year. She also expressed her opposition to Mamdani’s statements against Netanyahu.
