216 Ukrainian Drones Shot Down Over Multiple Russian Regions

The Russian Ministry of Defense announced that its air defense systems intercepted and destroyed 216 Ukrainian drones over various regions of Russia during the previous night, according to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Al Jazeera.
It is worth noting that on February 21, 2022, President Vladimir putin recognized the independence of the Donetsk and luhansk People’s republics in the Donbas region, criticizing Western disregard for Moscow’s security concerns.
Three days later, on February 24, Putin launched a military operation against Ukraine-referred to by him as a “special operation”-escalating tensions between Moscow and Kyiv into armed conflict.
In response to Russia’s actions, the United States and Western countries have imposed extensive sanctions on Moscow while supplying Kyiv with billions of dollars’ worth of weapons and military equipment.
