The Danger Threatening Palestinians Even After the Gaza War Ends

The English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Quds, reported that an English magazine, The Economist, stated Gaza contains the highest concentration of unexploded bombs and explosives in any conflict zone worldwide. These ordnances pose a long-term threat to Palestinians even after hostilities cease in the strip.
The report added that some bombs used by the Israeli regime are designed to detonate with timed mechanisms inside buildings or underground. This complexity makes their detection difficult and substantially increases hidden dangers beneath rubble.
According to United Nations reports, unexploded ordnances left from the war on Gaza have caused hundreds of deaths and injuries.
The UN also stated that over seven thousand tons of unexploded bombs and explosives remain scattered across 40 percent of residential areas in Gaza.
