Rising Earthquakes in the Occupied Territories Signal an Imminent Devastating Quake

Israeli experts have warned of an increasing likelihood of a devastating and catastrophic earthquake in the occupied territories.
A technical report from Safed University indicates that warnings about the potential for a destructive earthquake in the occupied territories have intensified. Some parties have even referred to it as an “end-of-days” earthquake.
According to the report, if such an earthquake occurs, thousands could be killed and half a million Israelis may lose their homes. Thousands of buildings would be destroyed, with tens of thousands more sustaining serious damage.
This report comes amid growing concerns following an uptick in minor earthquakes over recent months. The warnings are based on seismic activity data stretching from southern Turkey to the Gulf of Aqaba.
Historically, major earthquakes strike this region every 80 to 120 years.
